Lisa & Dom

Capri, Italy

An old-worldly hillside stone villa gazes out at the sea lapping up the sides of Capri Faraglioni. Lisa found herself on a nonchalant scroll of Italian vacation rentals for a family holiday. “Capri is such a special island,” she says. “You can feel the energy as soon as you step off the boat with its beautiful pastel houses scattered up the hillside, the hustle and bustle of all the chic boats weaving in and out of each other and the magnificent cliff faces against the azure blue.” She did not find this villa. The villa, seeking something much more than recreation, found her. Captivated by the structure’s historic charm and the unbelievable surrealism ensconcing it all, Lisa and Dom immediately knew they would be married on this family getaway with their daughters. “It was then that I remembered a location outside, high up in Ana Capri which had an insane view but that also had a legal marriage licensee and when the two blended so beautifully, we decided to go for it,” Lisa says. With butter-yellow florals and an abundance of lemons scattering the scene, the day felt like spring: fresh, vibrant, citrus, in bloom. Something new was born. “I remember all these really beautiful butterflies fluttering around the pool and in my hair as I danced around with my eldest daughter Lucia in my dress,” Lisa recalls. A pasta dinner gathered the couple’s dearest to an intimate table that seemed to float above the sea below.
