In 2013, veteran makeup artist Tanya Bures sensed the need for fresh, radiant looks beyond traditional bridal beauty. Having worked in the industry for 20+ years, Tanya invited her favorite hair and makeup artists in LA to form a specialized team to extend her refined and influential beauty aesthetic.
We asked Tanya what is unique about Page Beauty?
When I meet with potential artists for Page Beauty, there are two elements I look for: expertise in her/his practice and a genuinely warm personality. Often, artists are great at what they do and can make a bride look amazing, but the overall experience isn’t what the bride expected. If she’s kind, friendly, and allows the conversation to flow, then I know she’ll do the same with our brides. It’s important that our clients know they’re the focus.
I also look for artists who are truly passionate in one practice, either hairstyling or makeup, and do it with masterful skill. Some artists “can do” both hair and makeup, but few do both with equal passion. Makeup is painting with a mastered touch to the skin, and hairstyling is sculpting with a command of hair. When a Page Beauty client is in our chair, she’ll be given the best in both hair and makeup with a skillful, friendly and familial team.
The last detail is our artists’ philosophy towards beauty: fresh, polished and uncomplicated. We understand the balance of enough product and styling to achieve an elevated look before transforming our client to someone she isn’t, nor wants to be. Our goal is to make our clients to look and feel gorgeous while inspiring confidence with exceptional hair and makeup.
