Head to the pristine beaches of Santa Teresa, recognized as one of the world’s five  Blue Zones (an area where people live measurably longer and healthier lives) to find an intimate connection with  nature in a serene setting.

Nestled in Costa Rica’s tropical jungle, overlooking the world-famous surf of Playa Santa Teresa,  the  luxury resort  Florblanca  florblanca.com boasts a 4Leaf status earned through Sustainable Tourism in Costa Rica’s (CST)  stringent certification process.  The  beach front  resort  is  simultaneously  luxurious  and  rustic, with  11  villas nestled in the leafy jungle, each featuring  private garden bathrooms and hammock-adorned sitting areas, just steps away from the white sand beach. Sustainable practices are the norm here and include the implementation of UV lamps for water purification,  eliminating  single-use plastic bottles and bags, recycling of organic waste, and  using  laundry  and bathroom products that  cause no harm to the environment.  Thus, it’s easy to indulge  in the two-level swimming pool surrounded by lush vegetation,  melt away at  the  resort’s  magical  Spa  Bambu  (suspended over waterfall-filled pools) or simply revel in the tide pools at low tide.  Indulge in a couple’s chocolate and almond  spa  treatment, which includes a fresh cacao body scrub as well as a warm chocolate and clay wrap—all leaving your skin silky smooth.  Dine at the resort’s restaurant, Nectar, knowing that only local and seasonal ingredients are sourced for your meal; find inner peace  to the sound of the ocean waves with a morning session of yoga at the seaside  studio;  or ask the concierge to arrange  a hike to Cabo Blanco Absolute National Reserve or an excursion to  gawk at  the Montezuma waterfalls, where brave souls can leap from the rocks to the refreshing pool at the base of the falls.

The intimate setting of Florblanca, natural beauty of Costa Rica, and the romantic villas make this an enchanting destination for small or large weddings. At Florblanca, they offer a number of wedding options, and cater each celebration to the interests of the bride and groom. Florblanca invite you to choose the services you desire, making each wedding unique. For more information visit florblanca

Florblanca actively participates in the Municipal Recycling Program which allows the property to adequately dispose of the majority of the recyclables. All organic waste is used in the production of compost, which in turn is used to enrich the soil of the on-site gardens. The oil used in the kitchen is collected by a local transportation company that produces its own fuel for its vehicles.
