In the wake of Covid-19, the pandemic has forced us to not only rethink our day-to-day way of living, but also the fairytale weddings that we have once dreamed of. Once upon a time lavish and extravagant weddings have been pared back to be intimate and micro. Brides who have once dreamed of getting married in full-blown Cinderella ball gowns are now opting for non-traditional and refined pieces that are more suited for smaller weddings and venue settings.
Similarly, my fiancée and I had plans to get married last June in Florence, Italy. However, two months prior, we were left with no other choice but to cancel our celebrations and reconsider our options.
